I Fought for Freedom
Updated: Jul 6, 2020

When I was in the military, there were challenges left and right: from secret operations to enemy attacks to losing close friends in combat. Yet, there was one thing that kept me going, the beauty of American Freedom. I knew that if I did not fight, I would put the hundreds of millions of Americans back home at risk of losing their rights. So I, and the brave men and women I served with struggled and sacrificed.
But today, Americans have been striped of their most basic freedoms. Why? A virus that has been wildly overblown by media outlets. They cannot eat out, they are forced to wear a mask, and they can barely leave their houses. This makes me ask: What did I fight for?
I didn't fight for the government to oppress its people.
I didn't fight for attacks on American Freedom.
I didn't fight for a weak America.
I fought for Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, the unalienable rights we are all granted as American citizens. So, to the liberals I say:
Stop taking American rights away. Give the people their freedom.
